REPORT: Google’s Personalizing All Search Results

Hey, just a quick note to share something I received.

DISCLOSURE: I am making nothing off this, it’s a naked link, I just thought I’d share instead of keeping it to myself.

A new report from Howie Schwartz has just been released, called SEO is Dead!

It’s about the new Google personalized results that are believed to be the end of SEO and any chance of getting a decent ranking.

Topics covered are:

> Sound the Alarms! Google’s Personalizing All Search Results
> Google Caffeine
> Google SideWiki
> Google Social Search
> Local Search
> Google Real-Time Search
> …and more, particularly super-handy cheat-sheets on pages 40-50

here’s the link to the whole thing.

http://www.howiebonus.com/seo-is-dead.html

p.s. based on what I just read, I think the importance of setting up and using a Google profile just went through the roof.

Twitter Posts in Google Search Engine Results

twitter posts in google results

Yes, that’s right, something YOU tweeted may now show in a prominent position of the search engine results pages, perhaps just moments after making it!

Google will, of course hold one tweet in higher esteem over another, and I’ll assume they have some kind of system where they define on someone’s influenece and hold those over others…

…I think it;s fair to say that noe, more than ever, you need to take twitter very seriously.

To get you tweeting properly, check out these three, free videos to boost your Twitter influence: http://twitter.re-voo.com

Web 2.0 Sites Revealed

Hey, just a quickie to let you know about an uber-secret PDF that is being missed by just about EVERYBODY!

(if you’re in a rush, here’s the link: http://www.howiesparty.com/member/?r=2005&i=2)
The PDF reveals some web 2.0 sites that are being missed by many.

Listing your web site on Web 2.0 sites can drive your page rank up and get you rankings in literally hours.
Google rates these web 2.0 sites highly. Google assumes that if these sites are linking to YOU, then you *must* be someone to reckon with.
That’s the power of linking from web 2.0 sites.

So, do you use the same ones as everyone else? I’m talking about squidoo, etc.
With marketers pillaging these sites for backlinks, is it likely that the search engines will rate links from them less hgihly?
probably.

And what if you were the first person to squidoo? Would you have created a squidoo lens for your keyword? If you were first to grab those keywords, would you be more successful now?
possibly.

OK, so to get your free PDF, go here:
http://www.howiesparty.com/member/?r=2005&i=2

the link to the pdf is in the top left-hand corner.

Go and stake your claim now!

Tony :)

p.s. the free PDF at http://www.howiesparty.com/member/?r=2005&i=2 is waiting for you!

Twitter – to tweet or not to tweet…

…indeed, that IS the question (well half of it, anyway).

The REAL question should be “To tweet and make money or not to tweet and make money… THAT is the question!!”

OK, here’s the skinny – people are making money online using Twitter. FACT.

I wanted to know how the hell they’re doing it!

So I asked a facebook buddy of mine what he’s been up to (I noticed he’s a little bit twitter OBSESSED of late).

It turns out he’s got this money-from-twitter thing by the short and curlies and he’s getting followers like he’s some kind of celebrity or something (and making money like one too)!

So I asked him how he’s doing it, and completely out of the blue, my buddy David replies with “here; take a look at these videos I made!”

(here’s a link to them: http://twitter.re-voo.com)

So off I dashed to check out the videos.

I must admit; I WAS DISAPPOINTED.

I was disappointed cos they’re a new (but very cool) set of videos he made to promote his new product (and I thought he’d made them just me for me!)

Anyway, they really get the ball rolling and are well worth a look: http://twitter.re-voo.com

Have Fun! Tony.

p.s. The REALLY cool thing is that these videos are very new and are very underground.
Check them here: http://twitter.re-voo.com

p.p.s. The videos might soon be taken down before he does a big launch so get them NOW: http://twitter.re-voo.com

Sex, Being Rubbish at it, Andy Jenkins for $1 with $1 cash BACK!

So there’s a truth about web sites that nobody talks about.

Firstly, just having the site is not good enough – you need visitors to your site.

In fact, it’s a bit like making love. Doing it, Getting jiggy (whatever you call it)…

…When you’re new to it, you’re awkward, uncomfortable, it can be embarassing and nerve-wracking.

After a while you feel more comfortable doing it and you learn a few tricks that get some good results (is it getting warmer in here?).

As time goes on and you’ve ‘done it’ more and more, you think that you know all there is to know… until one day you stumble across a ‘how-to’ guide and realize you’ve been doing it ALL WRONG, FOR ALL THIS TIME!

Damn. Think of all those unsatisfied customers! (ahem)

So basically I want to help you to ‘up’ your game.

Instead of learning one or two tricks, I want you to meet the bearded guys from ‘The Joy of SEO’. They will teach you all the moves, the little pressure points and zones that will get the traffic juices flowing, and make you a legend.

joyofseo

AND What if this slick 7-Module, 30+ video guide was just $1?

WELL NOW IT IS!

WHY? The guys at stompernet want you to try their magazine out. If you like it, do nothing and they send it to you every month. If you don’t want it, cancel and they never send it again, no questions asked. sweeet.

IT ONLY COSTS $1…

…BUT THERE’S A CATCH:

I’M GOING TO REFUND YOU YOUR $1 FOR GOING THROUGH MY LINK!

Or if you’re feeling ornery, go spend that dollar and try to prove me wrong. I dare you not to be impressed.

Tony

P.S. Who says a dollar doesn’t go very far any more? http://stomp2.re-voo.com/

P.P.S. Oh yeah, they don’t actually have beards, buy the way.

P.P.P.S. this is one of those time-limited deals so I’d get it before they take it down: http://stomp2.re-voo.com

Day 1 of Self-Imposed Abstinence… (the agony)

OK, so here’s the idea: I’m cutting myself off from all marketing noise.

Why? :: The Concept

This is because I’m constantly being distracted by shiny objects (launches and marketing emails) that take my focus away from the task at hand.

I was thinking: Do Mike Filsaime, Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, Jason Moffatt, Stephen Dean, Russell Brunson and all the other successful names in Internet Marketing allow themselves to be constantly distracted? I doubt it. I doubt they even see these emails.

So for a few weeks at least, I’m getting off everyone’s lists, flouncing facebook and turning off twitter – any avenue that carries an Internet Marketing message gets shut off so I can take a moment, reboot myself and get on with the task in hand (making a recurring income).

Don’t get me wrong: I’m getting back onto those lists after the experiment is over, as the marketing lessons they provide are invaluable! for example; if a sales letter makes me want to buy the product, then why was it so successful?

In a nutshell, I’ve learned all I need to know to make money online, and now I have to wrench myself away from the habit of learning, and apply the skills I now have – would you benefit from the same?

Day 1 :: The Agony

I’ll be honest, it’s not been easy. I find myself dipping in and out of things, then pulling myself back after realising I was slipping.
Luckily I never took part in any of the online forums (dangerously addictive), but over the months have found myself getting on heaps of lists, and getting every message from Mike Filsaime for example about five times in some cases.

That has been the fun part, hitting unsubscribe on all the duplicates and hitting delete on the messages in my inbox without even reading them.

I’ve been a bit stuck with whjat to do with my time, so found myself turning to the only viable alternative: Productive work.

The results?  A very productive first day, but a bit of a challenge – it’ll get easier, I’m sure.

2009 Social Media Predictions

Perry Belcher has gone and made some big claims in this video, and you know what? I think he’s hit the nail on the head for a few (if not all) of these…

The ranking influence thing is huge, and makes you think about your own influence in niches – could you manufacture your own influence in a niche? what could that mean to your income?

Enjoy the vid, then comment on this blog post (you should know what to do by know!)

Tony.
