hey, I know it’s been a while since I blogged about anything- but there has been good reason… I’ve had nothing to blog about!

Anyway, I thought I’d make a quick post about the whole trend among the Internet Marketing community to help local businesses.

The fact of the matter is that while people are saying it’s the new gold-rush, and getting all hyped up while talking about it; it actually IS a great way of helping your local economy, community and your bank balance.

BUT more importantly, you can also strike up deals in an old-fashioned bartering way, where you swap your services for a service they provide! I did a deal like this today; swapping my SEO and Internet Marketing skills for their bolton printing services!

The company called secure prints have a few good offers on, too, which really helps me to promote them!

I used my traffic geyser membership (check out traffic geyser here) to blast out a video I made using Animoto (check out animoto here), which took me just a few minutes to make – check out the end-result video here. Since there is hardly any competition for the search term (10,200 for “printing bolton“), I am able to steer the estimated 750 searches per month straight to them!

Admittedly their landing page is not ideal, and we’ll look at that next – which will mean another deal, either paid for or another bartering job when I need more printing

Oh, and of course bartering your time for their product might not be the easiest thing to document, but it really should go through your books somehow
