The Hard Truth – You Have Absolutely No Right To Be Successful!

Just been reading a very good blog post by Clayton Makepeace on his blog at The Total Package.

It’s a very harsh wake-up call for all people who think that Internet Marketing or Copywriting is going to make them rich with very little or no effort.

Click here to read the post at The Total Package

here’s an excerpt or two that i found particularly inspiring:

“…Everything you do today is a brush stroke on a canvas; a portrait of you ten years, twenty years, forty years from now.

“The measure of success, reputation, wealth and quality of life you’ll enjoy later in your career is being determined right now; today by the amount of effort you’ll expend plus the quality of decisions you make in the next few hours, this week, this month, this year.

“Your life will be little more and little less than what naturally happens to people who do what you do, exert the amount of effort you exert and make the decision you make.

“So wouldn’t this be a good time to renew your commitment? To resolve to expend every iota of thought, energy and every hour you can to ensuring that your work achieves the standard of excellence required for success?

“Give it a good think: What is it about your knowledge base … your skill mastery … the effort and depth of thought you invest in each project … the attention to detail in your finished work … that could be; should be improved?” – Clayton Makepeace

Rocky Balboa – the new Tony Robbins?

I think it was Russell Brunson that commented (not verbatim) how he was amazed that people will go through 3 or 4 years of university, spending ten or hundreds of thousands of dollars on an education for a career which earns them 60 or 70 thousand dollars per year, but when they’re setting up an internet business that will bring in millions, the same people give up after just a small hurdle like not seeing instant results.

Like I said, that’s the gist of what he said; I wasn’t quoting him verbatim.

I came across this video clip somewhere, and it was very inspiring. Who would have known that Rocky Balboa was one of the greatest minds of the 21st Century?

keep up the fight, keep pushing. one step at a time.

Are Frank Kern, Eben Pagan & Co Just Drug Pushers?

…also titled
“Internet Marketing, Gambling and Addictions
- a comparison”

Gambling = put up money in the hopes of a desired outcome which increases the value of original investment.

Internet Marketing = put up money in the hopes of a desired outcome which increases the value of original investment.

But it’s not as clear-cut as that, obviously!
Especially when you think that in gambling you can have no influencce on the outcome of this desired result we’re talking about.
At least in IM you can do lots of things to increase the chances of the happening of this desired outcome, thus increasing the chances of a ‘win’.
The things you can do range from ‘doing more’ such as writing blog posts or articles, or even investing in your education through programmes such as Frank Kern’s Mass Control, Eben Pagan’s Guru Mastermind, or Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula.

But let’s look now at the darker side of things… addiction.

Should there be support groups for people who are Addicted to Internet Marketing? That’s an e-book begging to be written right there! If you do write one then it was totally my idea, and I think I deserve a kickback and a free copy!! ;o)

Addiction? Really?

Well look at the gambler who spends his last penny to try and get that ‘one big win’ that will put him ‘back in the game’… I could imagine an Internet Marketer finding him or herself in the same boat there.
And speaking of addictions, look at the high-cost habit of a cocaine addict… hmmm… people who are always buying into the high-price coaching programs could be compared to this addiction.

So are the ’Gurus’ nothing more than dealers? Pushers? Well, that would be a personal decision - The wife of an IM addict would think so.

My Name’s Tony, and I’m an IM Addict

I have a confession to make: I bought a domain name and some Private Label Resale Rights e-books the other day. Altogether it cost £17.18 (about $35USD), and I HID this fact from my wife!  OOOooohh! dodgy dodgy territory!!
I came clean and told her about it. I felt better, but that feeling faded as I noticed her eyes glaze over as I told her that if I sold even one or two a day at $9.95 that would mean… blah blah

…But it gets worse!

So far, I’ve not hit rock bottom… I can imagine it will involve me running round the streets, knocking on doors, begging people, to let me use their ‘net connection for just a few minutes so I can check my clickbank balance and just read through the latest emails and look at the latest videos from whichever launch is building up…

…no, it’s not come to that..YET! Here’s where I noticed that I have a problem – remember the PLR books I bought? I paid via PayPal. Somehow it’s paying the seller via e-check, which means I have to wait 9 days or so before the payment comes out my bank and into their paypal account!!! I have been climbing the walls, unable to stop checking my paypal account to see if there’s been any changes. I even contacted the seller to ask if they could cancel from their end so I can buy again using a quicker method?! Their lack of response agitates me even more!

So please help me get my IM fix:

  1. Leave a comment – (awesome new video/audio comment system below)
  2. Sign up for more updates – (opt-in form below)
  3. Take a look at the blatant affiliate Links below (Just one or two sales could mean enough commissions for me to get more PLRs or something!!!)

Until Next Time,

Tony.
